Man 'left bleeding and needing help' after Nottingham street attack, cordon set up

The victim suffered a fractured cheek bone after he was repeatedly assaulted

A 38-year-old man suffered a fractured cheekbone after being assaulted in Nottingham city centre. Nottinghamshire Police said officers were called to Talbot Street, at around 4.50am on Thursday, October 10, after reports a man was bleeding and needed help.

A force spokesman said the victim suffered a suspected broken cheek bone after he was reportedly assaulted. His injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening, Nottinghamshire Police said.

A short time later officers arrested a 57-year-old man nearby on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in police custody and a cordon was put in place while inquiries were carried out.
