A mum who was killed in a drive-by shooting in London has been named as Michelle Sadio. Emergency crews raced to the incident on Gifford Road, Harlesden, on Saturday night. Paramedics attended and the 46-year-old was found with serious injuries.
She sadly died at the scene. Two men were also injured in the incident, the Metropolitan Police said. One of them was taken to the hospital in a critical condition, while the other man's injuries are not life-threatening, the force added.
CCTV footage obtained by the Mirror shows the moment the gunman opened fire. A total of seven gunshots can be heard ringing out amid screams of terror from the group of people who had been attending a church ceremony on the opposite side of the road. The Mirror reports that there have been no arrests made yet.
Inquiries into the firearms incident are ongoing.
Superintendent Tony Josephs, from the North West Command Unit which covers Brent, said: "This is a truly shocking incident that has left a woman dead and two others injured, and I understand the concern this will cause the local community and those across London. I want to reassure people that a team of experienced detectives are already working at pace to piece together the events of last night and identify whoever was responsible for this heinous act of violence.
"If you were in or around Gifford Close at the time of the shooting, or have any information about who was responsible, please get in contact with us. A family has been left devastated and we need to work together to provide them with answers."
