Two 15-year-olds have been charged in West Lothian following a number of incidents reported during Bonfire night.

A 15-year-old boy was charged with being in possession of fireworks following reports of youths throwing the explosive devices in Whitburn.

A 15-year-old girl was charged in Blackridge after crews from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and officers from Police Scotland were targeted with stones while attending a fire-raising incident in the village.

Police Scotland adds: “Enquiries will continue in an effort to trace further individuals who were involved in incidents in Whitburn, Blackridge and Blackburn.

“If you have any information that could assist our enquiries, please contact Police on 101 quoting incident number: 2686 5/11/24.

“If you wish to provide information anonymously, please contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
