Tributes have been paid to an "incredible father", after he was found dead at the base of a cliff in Benidorm, Spain.

Nathan Osman, from Pontypridd, was discovered by a police officer on September 29, following a day's search after Mr Osman disappeared amid his first overseas holiday with mates.

At the initial hearing into Mr Osman's death at Pontypridd Coroners' Court on Monday, October 14, senior coroner Graeme Hughes was informed that Mr Osman had suffered severe brain injuries from tumbling down a fearsome 200m drop. It became known that the 30 year old had been enjoying a long weekend away with friends and had last been seen drinking with them before parting ways.

Following his disappearance, authorities launched a quest for Mr Osman which saw him being found the next day by the alert officer and subsequently identified by his distraught family. During the Monday session, coroner Hughes expressed his suspicion of a violent demise due to the traumatic injuries consistent with a high fall.

Pending further evidence, coroner Hughes has put off the full inquest into Mr Osmans end with no future date yet fixed, noting the complications arising from the incident occurring overseas. The coroner extended his sympathies to Mr Osman's kin and friends, reports Wales Online.

The family of Mr Osman has recently paid their respects, recalling: "Nathan, 30, from Pontypridd, suffered a tragic accident whilst on his first ever holiday abroad with friends in Benidorm Saturday morning. Nathan worked endlessly to provide for his family but he was looking forward to his first trip abroad with friends. Unfortunately, whilst trying to return to his hotel, Nathan got lost resulting in him taking the wrong path that led to a fatal fall. Nathan's family and friends are left utterly devastated and heartbroken."

They continued to honour his memory, saying: "Nathan was the most doting partner to Katie, the mother of his four children. This tragic accident has left Katie and his four children to live the rest of their lives without him. Nathan's children were his absolute world and he lived and breathed for them. He was an incredible father and made so many wonderful memories that his children will cherish forever."

Further tributes described him as: "Nathan was the most loyal person, a faultless son, a caring brother, a fun loving uncle and a true friend to anyone that was lucky enough to know him. His smile and his big brown eyes were infectious. He was the kindest of souls and his legacy will live on through his four beautiful children."

The family also shared: "Nathan enjoyed spending mornings at the beach with his children and partner. They loved exploring, being outdoors and going for hikes always having a great time and making beautiful memories. Nathan was totally devoted to his family, and as long as his family were happy, he was too."

"His Sundays were spent at Nanny Mo's and then at his parent's home to enjoy as many cooked dinners as he could handle. He enjoyed time at the gym with his brothers, spending time with his sister and catching up with friends. He took great pleasure in spending time with his many nieces and nephews and making them laugh. He wanted the upmost best for everyone he knew and would give help to anyone in need."

"The family really want to emphasise the importance of not walking home alone and to always stay with a friend or family member. Regardless of how you may feel in the moment, please don't take for granted your own safety. We want Nathan to be remembered for the amazing soul he was and the beautiful legacy he has left for everyone. He will be missed forever."

A fundraising page which was set up to bring Mr Osman home from Spain raised more than £20,000. Organiser Benjamin Cooke said: "Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and helped us reach our goal. Your kindness has made it possible for us to bring Nathan home and begin the preparations for the funeral he deserves. Even though we've met our goal, you can still support by sharing the fundraiser to help spread awareness and keep Nathan's memory alive. Your continued support brings comfort to his partner, children and family during this difficult time. We are deeply grateful for all your love and generosity."
