Americans have turned out in droves to cast their votes in the US presidential election, which culminates today on Tuesday, November 5.

With Kamala Harris and Donald Trump neck-and-neck, the fierce campaign has continued to escalate over the past few weeks, with the candidates' exchanges growing increasingly fiery.

So who is going to win? People are convinced it may not be Trump after footage emerged from his final rally. The 78-year-old appeared to send his supporters to sleep when he took to the stage in Raleigh, North Carolina on Monday (November 4).

The Republican addressed his supporters for 90 minutes on topics including border control and immigration, which was probably about as entertaining as it sounds. As a result, some attendees in the 5,000-seat J.S. Dorton Arena appeared to zone out.

Behind the man, who was previously president from 2017 to 2021, sat scores of audience members – none of whom looked remotely interested in 'Making America Great Again'.

People are very amused by pictures from the event – and have taken to social media to mock them. On X, one instructed: "Zoom in on every single person in the background."

Another joked they'd probably had to pay people to turn up, sarcastically writing: "That's what happens when you pay kids 20 bucks."

Another theorised: "There isn’t a soul on the planet that can listen to someone yammer on and on about themselves the way he does without falling into absolute boredom."

And a fourth added: "Most are on their phones, one asleep, one looking at someone else's phone, one regretting not bringing her phone."

This prompted some to argue that Trump won't be successful in his campaign. Another said: "Wow. Pure boredom and disinterest. He will lose in a landslide."

Kamala HQ also took to X, meanwhile, to point out another noticeable aspect of Trump's final call. Sharing a news report from MSNBC, the fan account penned: "There are many empty seats at one of Trump’s final rallies.

"I can't tell you exactly why, but in this final week, we have seen far smaller crowds for Trump. For the first time since 2015, we’ve been looking around and questioning why the crowd sizes have been less than what we are accustomed to."
