Stirling will pay tribute to the region’s fallen war heroes as the traditional Remembrance Sunday service and procession takes place in the city centre this weekend.
The annual service to commemorate those who have fallen in conflicts past and present will take place at the Church of the Holy Rude at 10.45am on Sunday, November 10.
The traditional parade from the church, towards the Cenotaph, will take place immediately following the service for the laying of wreaths.
The route of the procession towards the Cenotaph will take its usual format, heading down St John Street, Spittal Street and onto Corn Exchange Road.
Lord Provost, Elaine Watterson said: “It’s an incredibly sombre occasion when we stop at this time of the year to reflect on the memory of those who gave their lives in service to this country.
“Stirling’s proud connection with our armed forces community has endured for many years and we welcome anyone who wishes to pay their respects as we pause to honour the individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice.”
