Dashboard cameras are proving to be indispensable for drivers.

They're ready to capture road incidents or serve as vital evidence in the event of accidents. The gadgets are also highly recommended for constant use while driving, though not everyone opts to install one.

However, one woman found herself in fits of laughter after reviewing her dash cam video, which unexpectedly featured her neighbour's comical mishap.

The woman, known as @rapunzel_Oreo on TikTok where she enjoys a following of 147,100, uploaded the hilarious footage with the caption: "Poor bloke just wanted to clean his car."

In the clip, which garnered 2.3 million likes and 10,600 comments, it showed text overlay that read: "Checking my dash cam footage and I think my neighbour was having a bad day."

The video shows the man's futile attempts to control his runaway jet wash, followed by an almost slapstick twist where the device turns and begins to pursue him, with the bloke making a dash to escape its wild spray of water and soap.

It's a scene straight out of a comedy sketch – messy, unexpected, and utterly amusing. We just hope the man managed to catch the pesky jet wash in the end...

The video went viral on TikTok, tickling many users, as one chuckled: "The fact it decided to chase him back." A second person questioned: "How does one get into a situation like this?" while a third quipped: "This is straight out of a cartoon."

A dash cam is quite useful for roads. In case of a collision, it serves as a crucial piece of evidence for insurers or in court.

It also helps safeguard against dishonesty on the road, for instance, recording set-up accidents or scam insurance claims. Here, however, the dash cam's footage provided sheer hilarity for countless TikTok viewers.
