Man, 25, arrested after 'disturbance' in Scots fishing village

Police units raced to March Crescent in Anstruther at around 1.40pm this afternoon.

A man has been arrested following a disturbance on a Scots street earlier today.

Officers from Police Scotland raced to March Crescent in Anstruther, Fife, at around 1.40pm this afternoon, October 4. Cops executed a warrant at a property on the residential street in the Fife town.

Following the police operation a 25-year-old man was arrested with enquiries ongoing.

Pictures from the scene showed a police van parked, with an officer standing guard at the junction, with a blue 'road closed' sign next to the uniformed officer. Another image showed two police vans parked and blocking the road.

A Police Scotland spokesperson: “Around 1.40pm on Friday, 4 October, officers attended at a property in the March Crescent area of Anstruther to execute a warrant.

“A 25-year-old man has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.”
