All major party candidates in the Salmon Arm-Shuswap riding have confirmed their attendance at the upcoming Provincial All Candidates Forum at the Salmar Classic Theatre.

The forum, held on Oct. 2, is presented by the Salmon Arm Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber of commerce said the four major candidates will attend — The BC NDP's Sylvia Lindgren, Jed Wiebe for the BC Green Party, David Williams for the BC Conservatives and Greg McCune, who is running as an independent.

“This forum provides a valuable opportunity for Salmon Arm residents to hear directly from the candidates as they discuss key issues ahead of the provincial election,” the chamber said in a statement.

“The event will include a question and answer segment, giving attendees the chance to submit questions prior to the event.”

Questions for the candidates are still being accepted until Sept. 25 at 4 p.m., and can be submitted via the Salmon Arm Chamber of Commerce website or by contacting the chamber office directly.

There won't be any questions taken from the audience in attendance, and candidates will not see the questions in advance.

Seating at the free event will be limited to 260 people, and will be available on a first come first seated basis.

Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the event starting at 6:30 p.m.
