Voters can hear from Boundary-Similkameen's provincial MLA candidates during an election forum in Keremeos next week.

In a press release issued Wednesday, the Similkameen Country Development Association announced it would be hosting an all-candidates election forum on Oct. 8 at 6 p.m.

The event will take place at the Keremeos Legion and aims to give residents and opportunity "to engage directly with candidates running in the provincial election."

According to the development association, the forum will be moderated by a neutral host "to ensure unbiased and fair discussion."

Forum questions will be given in advance of the event. Attendees will be able to ask their own questions during a Q&A period.

“The forum aims to facilitate a lively and constructive dialogue on the key issues that matter most to the residents of the Similkameen Valley,” said Vanessa Schwoelger-Abbott, executive administrator of the SCDA, in the press release.

The election forum will be held on the upstairs floor of the Keremeos Legion and is free to attend.

The 2024 provincial election date is Oct. 19.
