Police in Trail, B.C. took another impaired driver off the road over the weekend.

RCMP say they received a report on Sept. 28 at 4:10 p.m. about a 61-year-old Trail woman driving her vehicle erratically while travelling southbound on Highway 22, near the Silver City.

The officer located the woman and her vehicle and detained them roadside.

RCMP said the officer made observations that lead him to believe the woman’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was allegedly impaired by alcohol.

A demand was read to the woman who provided a sample of breath roadside that resulted in a fail.

The woman woman was issued a 90-day Immediate Roadside Prohibition (IRP) and the vehicle was impounded for up to 30 days.

Trail RCMP and BCHP (BC Highway Patrol) will be patrolling our highways to make them safer for travel.

Police in Grand Forks say they also have been dealing with a rash of impaired drivers recently.
