You could win a scholarship for any program at Kelowna’s Elevare Career Institute.

All you have to do is attend its open house on Friday, Oct. 18, between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. at 201-1690 Water St. in Kelowna.

The innovative career training school offers programs that specialize in health care, including health-care assistant, medical laboratory assistant and pharmacy assistant.

Friday’s exciting event is not only a chance to win a full scholarship but also an opportunity to explore Elevare’s newly renovated space, meet the knowledgeable instructors, and learn more about their in-demand programs.

Led by executive director Alda Messiah, who has 26 years of experience operating private career colleges in B.C., Elevare Career Institute features a wide range of professionals with many years of experience.

With 12 years of experience, Rod Templeton specializes in IT and business, sharing his expertise to prepare students for the dynamic tech landscape. Chris Cabanas, with 23 years of combined experience in nursing and education, serves both as a health-care instructor and program administrator, enhancing the learning journey for aspiring healthcare professionals.

Leo Lin and Michael Ross, with 15 and eight years in IT and business, respectively, offer insights that bridge theory and practice, equipping students with essential industry skills. Dragan Soro combines 15 years in business and accounting to deliver practical knowledge that underpins a solid understanding of financial management.

Beyond instruction, MaryEllen Olynuk, with eight years of experience, guides potential students as an admissions advisor, while Mary Rees, with 26 years on her resumé, supports students in job search and practicum placements, ensuring they are well-prepared for their career paths.

Visitors on Friday will be able to get an inside look at all of Elevare’s programs, which are each designed to provide practical, career-focused training for the health-care sector.

Light snacks and refreshments will be available throughout the day.
