Informed enough to vote?

With some Vernon-Lumby candidates missing election forums and not providing answers to campaign questions, Castanet hit the streets to see if residents feel they had enough information to cast a vote in this election.

“Yes, but I am not very informed as I would like to be,” said one woman.

Many residents also said that they had their minds made up before the election began.

“I do actually,” said one man. “I probably would have voted NDP anyways, but I have not forgotten some of the stuff that came from the Conservatives that I do not agree with whatsoever.”

“I have already kind of figured out which parties I like and I already know who I am voting for,” said one resident.

Others have found other ways to keep themselves informed.

“Yes I do because I check all their platforms online,” said one woman.

The 2024 B.C. election is on Oct. 19, 2024.
