Construction tools stolen

Police are looking for a man after numerous construction tools were stolen from a business during the summer in Rossland.

Trail and Greater District RCMP said officers received a report on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 10:40 a.m. about an alleged theft of tools that occurred on Aug. 21 from a business in the 4300 block of Red Mountain Road in Rossland.

RCMP said the suspect is a "skinny" Caucasian man with a beard, 20-30 years old, wearing a blue and white T-shirt, blue jeans and red and black shoes.

The suspect vehicle is described as a silver Subaru Impreza or WRX, with a dent in the driver side door.

RCMP said the value of the items was believed to be around $5,000, and include:

  • Makita air compressor
  • Stihl law trimer
  • Milwaukee ½-inch impact drill
  • tripod work lights
  • extension cords

The RCMP is asking anyone recognizing this man or vehicle to contact the Trail detachment at 250-364-2566 and speak to an investigator.
