A wave of tributes have been left for people from Plymouth or those with links to the city who have died recently. The heartfelt messages appeared in the funeral notices section of PlymouthLive's sister title, The Herald.

The messages, placed between September 28 and September 4, provide comfort to the loved ones of those either lost or being celebrated. There were also three in memoriams, and one birthday memoriam.

Sadly passed away on 19th September 2024 aged 76 years. Treasured wife of Deryck (deceased), loving mum to Ross and Mia, and dearest nan to Samuel, Amber and Hayden. Cyril BOND

Cyril, 94, passed away peacefully at Valley View Residential Home on Thursday, 19th September, 2024. Loving husband to Barbara (deceased) and friend to those that met him. Passed away peacefully on the 23rd September at Plymbridge House aged 93. Wife to Dennis (deceased), Mother to Stephen, mother in law to Lyn. Norman Keith CROFT

Sadly passed away aged 92 on 21st September at Devonshire House care home, Woolwell, Plymouth. Beloved husband of the late Barbara, loving father to Sally and Andrew, dear father-in-law to Tony and Ruth and much loved excellent grandad to David, Clare, Susana, Katie, Jimmy and Rob. Jonathon Walter Lerrier (Jonny Rubbish) GATWARD

Passed away peacefully 19th September 2024, surrounded by her family, aged 87 years. Beloved wife to Tom, loving mother to Trevor. Loved and missed by all who knew her. Jennifer Anne SHOBBROOK (Green)

Jenny moved from Plymouth to Romsey, Hampshire, to be nearer her daughter Caroline and grandchildren Lauren and Samuel, some years after her lovely husband Ken died. She made friends and involved herself in the community including voluntary work. She enjoyed the freedom that Romsey allowed her to live. She died unexpectedly on Monday 16th September aged 89. She had a crackingly good long life, was active and independent to the end! Barbara Joan Agnes WILKINSON (Hemmett)

On the 14th September following a fall at home, our amazing mother age 94, sadly passed away.
