Plymouth has been officially decorated with stunning Christmas lights. At 6pm last night, Thursday, November 14, the city centre was bathed in vibrant lights, signifying the official commencement of the holiday season.

Thousands gathered in the centre to witness the spectacle. The thrilling event, sponsored by Morgan Sindall Construction and organised by the Plymouth City Centre Company, featured performances from local dance, theatre and singing groups.

The Drake Circus Lights switch-on also occurred. Entertainment kicked off at 3.30 pm with their ‘Parcel Rascals’ and ‘Elf & Safety’ acts, snow flurries at Old Town Street at 4pm, and their lights switched on at 5 pm.
