Nandyal Collector conducts surprise checks at Anganwadi, school and village secretariat

Collector Rajakumari Gania on Wednesday conducted a surprise check at an Anganwadi, village secretariat and a school in Dornapadu mandal of the district.

Ms. Rajakumari Gania visited the Anganwadi at W. Govindinne and interacted with the staff. She verified the number of students at the centre, checked the menu of food provided to them and the health condition of the children. Similarly, the Collector enquired whether pregnant women and lactating mothers are being given Poshan Abhiyan kits.

Ms. Rajakumari Gania found out that the staff did not procure eggs on time and expressed her dissatisfaction over the negligence. She asked them to keep the centre and the nearby places clean and also enquired whether the toilets have water supply.

Later, the Collector visited the village secretariat and enquired about the payment of insurance premium to the farmers. She also interacted with the farmers and asked them to enrol in the crop insurance scheme. She asked the staff to be punctual and offer all services to the farmers within the stipulated time.

Ms. Rajakumari Gania also visited the mandal parishad primary school at Chakarajuvemula and interacted with the students and teachers for some time. She asked the teachers to ensure that the children attend the classes regularly and keep the school premises clean.
