Youth held for committing burglary in seven places in Ayapakkam 

Thirumullaivoyal police arrested an 18-year-old youth on charges of committing break-ins at seven shops including a hotel in a single night.

According to police, one N.Parthasarathy who runs a hotel on Thiruverkadu Main road in Ayapakkam lodged a complaint alleging the locks of his shop were broken and unidentified persons decamped away with Rs 29,000 from the chest of a drawer. The locks of six other shops were broken and things were found stolen. Thirumullaivoyal Police took up the investigation. After collecting fingerprints from the scene of crime and scrutinising CCTV footage, police arrested Chaitanya, 18 of Villivakkam and are searching for one more suspect.
