Blast near PVR in Prashant Vihar: Delhi Fire Service

Four fire tenders rushed to the spot

The Delhi Fire Service on Thursday (November 28, 2024) said there was a low intensity blast near a PVR multiplex in Prashant Vihar area.

"We received a call regarding a blast in Prashant Vihar area at 11.48 a.m. We rushed four fire tenders on the spot. Our teams are following rest of the details," he said.

The Delhi Police received a call at 11:47 am a call regarding an explosion in front of Bansiwala sweet shop, Prashant Vihar. The incident comes almost a month after a small intensity explosion had happened in the same area.

Upon receiving the call Local Police, FSL Team, Crime Team, Fire Tender and Ambulance instantly reached the spot at PVR Road, Prashant Vihar, a senior officer said.

“It was found that a very mild intensity explosion occurred near the wall of a small park,” the officer added.

While no major injuries were reported, one individual suffered minor abrasion and was instantly taken to the BSA Hospital from where he was immediately discharged after receiving First Aid, the official added.

The police at present are investigating further.
