Kochi City police arrest five in four NDPS cases

The Kochi City police arrested five persons, including a woman, in four separate cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and allegedly seized nearly 10 grams of MDMA and 5.50 kg of ganja across four police station limits.

In one case, Jayesh, 36, of Kannur, was arrested reportedly with 1.53 grams of MDMA from Vytilla by the Maradu police. The Palarivattom police arrested Lins Isaac, 31, of Kannur and Tasni C.T., 26, of Mattancherry, allegedly with 3.34 kg of ganja.

The Cheranalloor police seized another suspected 2.05 kg of ganja from along Container Road. Pintu Sheikh Mandal, 31, of Murshidabad in West Bengal was arrested in this connection.

Shabeek, 31, of Nettoor was arrested by the Ernakulam Town South police from Panamppilly Nagar reportedly with 7.61 grams of MDMA.
