Training programme held for Anakapalli police on industrial accidents
by The Hindu Bureau · The HinduA three-day ‘Risk Assessment-Prevention-Mitigation Industrial Safety’ training programme was organised for the Anakapalli district police personnel at the Pharma City here on Tuesday.
Superintendent of Police, Anakapalli, Tuhin Sinha inaugurated the training programme, officials from Industries department, technical experts from various fields having experience of working in the industries took the classes. Around 100 police personnel from Anakapalli, Narsipatnam, Parawada sub-divisions and District Armed Reserve (AR) attended.
Explaining the necessity for having proper training to tackle industrial accidents, Mr. Sinha said that without training, industrial accidents cannot be tackled. With no training, police may not be able to save the victims, but can also put his own life under danger. Stating that gas leakages and boiler blasts are most frequent accidents to occur in the industrial units in Anakapalli, he also said that the managements should maintain proper equipment in the units. He has also appealed them to contact police, fire and other departments concerned immediately after any industrial accident.
DSP of Parawada K.V. Satyanarayana, Inspector of Parawada police station, R Mallikarjuna, Deputy Chief Inspector of Factories, V.V.S. Narayana and others were present.
