Former minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav has denied the allegations, of his family’s link to the proposed ethanol factory at Dilawarpur in Nirmal district, made by TPCC president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud and Minister D. Seethakka.
Speaking to the media here on Thursday, Mr. Srinivas Yadav clarified that his family had no link, whatsoever, with the ethanol project and it was up to the Congress Government to explain to people why it had taken so much time to come out against the project despite opposition from locals.
Mr. Srinivas Yadav said that his son was one of the eight directors of a distillery company near Rajamahendravaram but he quit the company in 2016 itself. However, the ruling party was mudslinging on his family with the help of old documents. He offered to hand over the stakes in the company, if his family had any, to whoever would prove it.
Further, he stated that it was the Centre that would give permissions to ethanol projects and no State Government would have any role in it.
