BJP wants CM to focus on good governance

Telangana BJP president and Union Minister of Coal & Mines G. Kishan Reddy on Wednesday advised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to focus on good governance and desist from indulging in personal attacks against the Opposition for questioning about his government’s failure to implement the six guarantees and other promises.

Talking to the media at New Delhi, Mr. Kishan Reddy charged that if former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had initiated the usage of unparliamentary language against his political opponents, the current Chief Minister has been continuing the same instead of answering the public about his government’s achievements in the last one year.

“Mr. Revanth Reddy’s government has utterly failed on all fronts cheating farmers, women, unemployed youth and others in the process. He, himself, had set a deadline for implementing various promises and had reneged on them, so why abuse the Opposition for demanding an explanation,” he wondered.

Mr. Kishan Reddy termed the government’s weeklong celebrations plan as ‘shameful’ and remarked that the one-year rule has been marked by ‘personal attacks, threats, filing of illegal cases and empty rhetoric’ by the Chief Minister.

The BJP leader urged Mr. Revanth Reddy to maintain his dignity and concentrate on solving problems like the issues being raised by the students of the residential welfare schools about bad quality food, inadequate facilities and others. “CM has no time for agitating students but wants to poke his finger in unnecessary issues,” he maintained.

Earlier in the day, Telangana MPs, MLAs and MLC met Prime Minister Narendra Modi where they brought him up to date with the political developments in the State. The PM is reported to have told that the party is growing in the State and people are fed up with the Congress government rule. He instructed them to agitate against the anti-people policies and focus on development works.

Meanwhile, party vice-president NVSS Prabhakar has dared the CM for an open debate on his one rule in another press conference and charged that there was no difference between the BRS and Congress governments.
