The case diary regarding the investigation into the death of former Kannur ADM Naveen Babu shall be produced before the Kerala High Court on December 6.

Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas issued the directive on Wednesday while considering a petition filed by K. Manjusha, the widow of Naveen Babu, seeking a CBI probe into the death.

The court refused to entertain the plea of the petitioner to issue directives to the police not to file the final report before the court disposed of the petition.

The court suggested that the police shall complete the investigation and they cannot be prevented from filing the final report on the grounds of some apprehensions raised by the petitioner.

The Court issued notices to the State government and the CBI in the case.

Ms. Manjusha, who moved the High Court seeking a CBI probe, suspected that her husband was murdered.

She alleged that P. P. Divya, the accused in the case, a prominent politician in the State, wielded significant political influence and may fabricate evidence against the deceased.

The petitioner also pointed out that there was no information about Naveen Babu’s whereabouts during the period between Ms. Divya’s speech at his send-off meeting and his death. A Special Investigation Team was constituted to probe the case by flouting the procedures, she alleged.
