Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a surprise check at the station and apprehended Kalu Pradhan, 30, a drug peddler transporting a large quantity of dry ganja from Berhampur in Odisha to Pune in Maharashtra.

Pradhan was waiting on platform number 5 for the LTT Express bound for Pune when he was nabbed.

He planned to sell the contraband at a higher price to customers in Pune. The accused travelled via the Falaknuma Express and was intercepted at Secunderabad.
