Police book case against man posting objectionable content about Madhu Bangarappa

The Shivamogga police on Wednesday booked a case against a person on the charge of posting a derogatory comment on Minister for School Education Madhu Bangarappa on social media platforms.

The Vinoba Nagar police registered the case under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and relevant sections of the BNS, based on a report submitted by Yogesh V.S., a head constable of the station.

The person with his account, Mohith Narasimhamurthy, posted objectionable and derogatory comments on X, formerly Twitter, and Instagram. The policeman on duty keeping an eye on social media platforms noticed the post and filed the complaint.

According to the police, the accused is staying in Delhi. They would pursue the case as per the instructions from senior officers. The accused is said to be facing similar cases in other places as well.
