An RTC bus collided with a car on the Rajiv Rahadhari on Monday morning, leaving one woman dead and four others injured. The victims, residents of Dammaiguda and originally hailing from Manthotti in Siddipet, were on their way home along the Pragnapur road, said the police.

Sravani, 38, succumbed on the spot while her husband, Moti Sudhakar, 40, their sons Sai and Tilak, and a relative, Ganesh, sustained injuries in the crash. They were rushed to the government hospital in Gajwel for treatment.

“The family of five was travelling in their car when the Hyderabad-to-Jagtial RTC bus, allegedly speeding, failed to notice their vehicle at the ring road rotary. Poor visibility due to morning dew and fog reportedly contributed to the accident,” said the police, adding that the bus driver, unable to observe the car approaching from the right side, collided with it, causing significant damage.
