Many U.K. universities have shown interest in Karnataka’s KWIN City, says M.B. Patil

Representatives from institutions such as the University of Liverpool, University of East London, York University, and University of Wolverhampton have expressed keen interest in Karnataka’s KWIN City initiative, according M.B. Patil, Minister for Large and Medium Industries, Government of Karnataka.

The Minister, who is currently holding a roadshow in the UK, held a series of strategic meetings in England, ahead of the Invest Karnataka 2025 which is scheduled to be held in the city between Feb 12 and 14.

The business exposition, Invest Karnataka 2025, is aimed at showcasing the State as a global investment destination, fostering partnerships and driving innovation across industries.

A delegation headed by Mr. Patil had discussion with Gareth Thomas, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Minister for Services, Small Businesses and Exports) at the Department for Business and Trade of UK.

Discussions focused on advancing Karnataka’s position as a global education hub, with specific opportunities for UK-based universities and schools to establish campuses in the State especially under its KWIN City project. At a round table with members of Russell Group of Universities, the minister outlined opportunities for foreign universities establishing campuses in the State.
