Woman run over by EMU train in Tiruvottiyur 

A 25-year-old woman was run over by an electric multiple unit (EMU) train near the Tiruvottiyur railway station on Wednesday night when she attempted to cross the railway tracks as she was returning home from work.

The victim has been identified as S Aishwarya of Thiruvottiyur who was working with an IT firm in Taramani. On Wednesday, while she was crossing the tracks, an EMU train hit her and ran over her. Upon receipt of information, the Government Railway police recovered her body and sent it to a government hospital for a postmortem.
