BJP demands govt. to spell stance on SCs categorisation

Telangana BJP has demanded the government to release details of the SCs sub-plan funds released and the programmes taken up in the last one year and also questioned the silence of ruling party leaders on the alleged efforts by one of its senior leaders to undermine the SCs categorisation cleared by the Supreme Court.

Former MLA and vice-president N.V.S.S. Prabhakar told a press conference here on Tuesday that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had vowed to ensure the State becomes the first in the country to implement SCs categorisation and wondered why he and his PCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud are ‘mum’ over one of their senior leaders making efforts to ‘instigate’ the Malas against the Madigas.

“What is the Congress government stand on the categorisation? Is there any change in its thinking? Why are the senior leaders reluctant to act when there is a deliberate effort to further divide the society? Why is the Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka not talking about the sub-plan implementation at all? We are ready for an open debate on all these issues,” said Mr. Prabhakar.

The BJP leader claimed that the government had ‘no answer’ to the chargesheet released by his party president and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy about its ‘failure’ to implement the election eve guarantees and promises. “The Congress government is totally confused and do not know why it is celebrating the first anniversary,” he remarked.
