Telangana Deputy CM Bhatti holds meeting with Cong MPs in Delhi
by The Hindu Bureau · The HinduTelangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Thursday (December 12, 2024) held a meeting with the Congress MPs from Telangana in New Delhi.
At the breakfast meeting, Mr. Bhatti explained the parliament members achievements of the Congress Government in the past one year. He also gave a detailed account of the fiscal position of the State Government and how it was raising funds to meet the welfare and developmental programmes. The Deputy Chief Minister ridiculed the letter written by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working President K. T. Rama Rao to Leader of Opposition and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on the one-year rule.
Addressing media after the meeting, Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy said that the Deputy Chief Minister wanted the MPs to highlight the good work done by the Government during their visits to the constituencies. He said Mr. Bhatti had pointed out that the criticism by the opposition BRS leaders was out of frustration and jealousy as the Government had fulfilled major promises it made to the people.
He said that KTR and former Minister T. Harish Rao made false accusations against the Congress Government. The meeting was attended by MPs K. Raghuveer Reddy (Nalgonda), Dr. Kadiyam Kavya (Warnagal), P. Balaram Naik (Mahabubabad), Dr. Mallu Ravi (Nagarkurnool) and Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy.
