Naidu congratulates TDP leaders, cadres for enrolling 73 lakh new members in 50 days

Rajampet constituency stands on top with 1.18 lakh new members; the party supremo promises to take care of the members’ welfare, and empower them politically and economically

The TDP has enrolled an impressive 73 lakh people as members in 50 days after its biannual membership drive began on October 26, 2024, under the stewardship of IT Minister and party national general N. Lokesh.

TDP national president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu congratulated the leaders and the grassroot workers on the accomplishment in a review meeting on December 14, 2024 (Saturday).

According to a party release, the newly-enrolled members included 85,000 from Telangana. Rajampet constituency stood on top with 1.18 lakh members, followed by Nellore City (1.06 lakh), Kuppam (1.04 lakh), Palakollu (1.02 lakh) and Mangalagiri (90,000).

Mr. Naidu exhorted the leaders and cadres to strive to motivate one out of every four persons to take the TDP membership so that the party becomes stronger and be able to take on its rivals more effectively.

He reiterated his commitment to take care of the welfare of each member, and also empower them politically and economically at appropriate time.

Mr. Naidu further said he would see that the per capita income of the TDP members and activists increased in the future so that they would be able to serve the party better and contribute to society.

“Those who work hard will be given various posts in recognition of their services, and their families will be uplifted,” he said.

Clearance of bills

Meanwhile, Mr. Naidu entrusted the responsibility of clearing the pending bills of contractors to Ministers K. Atchannaidu, Payyavula Keshav and Nimmala Rama Naidu, keeping in view the travails of the contractors, to whom the previous government did not make the payments for works done.
