Elderly person murdered in Arkalgud taluk

Nirvanappa was murdered by a youth, whose father was murdered by the victim 14 years ago

A 25-year-old person murdered an elderly person at Dadadahalli in Arkalgud taluk on Tuesday to avenge the murder of his father. Nirvanappa, 75, was murdered by Murthy.

Nirvanappa murdered Murthy’s father Lakkaiah over a property dispute over 14 years ago. Nirvanappa was arrested and served imprisonment for about seven years. Recently, he was out of jail and stayed in a rented place at Mallipatna village.

Nirvanappa visited Dadadahalli on Tuesday to collect death certificates of his parents. He was attacked by Murthy. He is survived by three sons and a daughter.

Arkalgud Police registered the case based on the complaint filed by Nirvanappa’s son Kumara.
