CPI(M) to contest 2 seats in Delhi Assembly election, announces candidates

by · The Hindu

The CPI(M) on Monday said that the party will contest two seats in the upcoming Delhi Assembly election and also announced the name of candidates, according to an official statement.

The party said advocate Ashok Agarwal will contest from Karawal Nagar while Jagdish Chand Sharma will compete from Badarpur.

“The party will campaign on the basis of the pro-people Left alternative policies in the country. It’s time for the working masses of Delhi to scrutinise the long record of AAP. The RSS-BJP strategy to divide the people on communal lines to reap electoral benefits and its deceit to snatch the right of self-government whenever they face electoral drubbing at the hands of Delhiites would be exposed,” the statement said.

The party said its manifesto will be announced on December 19.
