Man released without charge after 21-year-old found seriously injured

A 53-year-old who was arrested after a man was found seriously injured has been released without charge.

Police were called to a report of an injured 21-year-old in West Blackhall Street, Greenock, Inverclyde, at around 12.10am on Saturday.

He was taken to hospital for treatment. The 53-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday, but police later said he had been released without charge. The force said inquiries are ongoing.
