Woman allegedly sexually assaulted by ice hockey player tells jury he 'pushed me against a wall and kissed me'
by Chris Slater · Manchester Evening NewsA woman allegedly sexually assaulted by a professional ice hockey player and TV extra told a jury he 'pushed [her] against a wall and kissed [her]. Philip Hamer, 34, from Salford, appeared on Coronation Street and Hollyoaks, a trial has been told.
"He may also have been linked in some non-playing capacity to both Manchester City and Manchester United," the prosecution has told jurors. Mr Hamer is accused of a string of sex offences against children and adults. He denies all the charges he faces.
As the Manchester Crown Court trial continued, a woman allegedly sexually assaulted addressed jurors. She said they were in a room together when she 'tapped on the window' to try and get someone's attention.

Mr Hamer, she told the court, was 'stood close to [her]. "He pushed me against the wall," she added. The woman told jurors: "He plunged onto my face and kissed me on my lips. I had to push him away. I was just hoping someone would come and let us out.
"I couldn't get away. I couldn't get him off me." The woman said she was left 'stunned, shocked and frightened'. She told the jury they stood in silence until leaving the room.
Mr Hamer, of Birchfield Drive in Worsley, faces charges relating to six alleged victims - including eight counts of rape; seven counts of sexual assault; six counts of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity; and one count of sexual activity with a child.
Prosecutor Simon Reevell previously said it was alleged the defendant sexually assaulted six females between 2015 and 2023, with some said to be adults at the time, although 'others were still children'. He alleged the offences 'principally' involved 'the manipulation, grooming and sexual abuse of female children in their early teens.'
Another another alleged victim told jury on Thursday (November 14) she was 'scared' of Mr Hamer. She told the court she was in high school when Mr Hamer first made contact with her on Snapchat. She said he added her under a different name, but said she 'almost immediately' realised he wasn't who he said he was and that he was an older man.
"I always had some sort of fear over him", she said. "Even though he never horrible to me, it was always just that fear. I was scared he would tell my friends. It was nice when I spoke to him... he was a nice person. He would talk to me about how my day was and things. He would be nice."
Asked if she wanted the alleged sexual contact to happen, she said: "No." Mr Reevell asked: So how did they come to happen?"
"He would start it," she replied. "What were you thinking when he did that?," Mr Reevell asked. "I don't know, I was scared," the alleged victim said, adding: "He was a lot older, I was younger. I didn't really want to do it."
Asked if Mr Hamer ever asked her if she wanted to do it, she replied: "No." Asked why she didn't say anything to her parents, family members or teachers, she said: "I guess I was scared I was going to get into trouble. And I was ashamed."
"At which point did you become ashamed?," Mr Reevell asked. "Straight away," she replied, adding: "Which is why I didn't say anything when it first started."
In cross-examination, Richard English, defending, asked her: "You were into each other?" She replied: "No."
"You met him because you wanted to meet him," Mr English continued. "No," she replied. "You enjoyed being with him?", he asked. "No," she said.
"He never forced himself on you?," Mr English sked. "I disagree," she replied. "He never had sex with you," Mr English added. "I disagree," the alleged victim said.
