Brazen thief caught riding stolen DUMP TRUCK down main road

Police spotted the tipper lorry being driven along Rochdale Road in the Harpurhey area on Monday night. They carried out checks and realised it was suspected to have been stolen.
They stopped the driver and arrested a male - whose age has not been given - on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle. He was also arrested on suspicion of driving without a licence and having no insurance.

The truck was then seized and towed away. Police shared pictures of the truck on social media yesterday, including one of the vehicle being recovered.
An officer wrote on the GMP Manchester North Facebook page: "Neighbourhood Policing Team 2 - Inspector Pickavance. On Monday evening Inspector Pickavance was on patrol with PC Ditta in Harpurhey when they spotted a dumper truck driving along Rochdale Road.
