BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans say Craig Revel Horwood 'dig' wasn't 'on bingo card' in awkward moment

Craig Revel Horwood left Strictly Come Dancing viewers stunned when he appeared to mock one of his co-stars during the latest live show. The judge was back in the ballroom on Saturday night (October 12) alongside Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke.

They were casting their expert eyes over the 13 remaining couples in the BBC One dance contest as they returned to the dancefloor after last weekend's spectacular Movie Week special.

Craig is no stranger to being booed by the show's live audience and so the latest live show was no different. But the awkward moment in question came when he left those in the ballroom unhappy over his comments about former hockey star Sam Quek and Nikita Kuzmin

The pair were seen dancing a Samba to Hips Don’t Lie by Shakira, and the audience was straight on their feet with loud cheers as the pair finished their high-energy routine.

However, head judge Shirley called the dance 'awkward' as she called out the technical mistakes. She was booed and the moment saw her turn to the crowd and say: "Hold on, you might learn something," before she explained to Sam and Nikita: "What I found you need work on a little bit, progressing forward, in some positions it looks a little awkward getting from A to B.

"We're always looking for something really seamless but what I can commend you on is the fact you came out here, you're well in that competition with the personality and salesmanship which is just as important as the technical aspect."

Craig then gave his comments and also not overly impressed, he told them: "I felt it lacked a little bit of bounce, I have got to say. The footwork I thought was slightly messy at times and misplaced."

Craig was also booed for his comments and as he was, he pointed his finger in the air and turned to the live audience and seemingly mocking Shirley's earlier actions, he changed his voice as he said: "Hold on, you might learn something."

The judges had a little laugh as Sam seemed to want to interject. In the meantime, Strictly viewers were rushing to social media to comment.
