Christmas shoppers can snap up £45-worth of 'luxury' Monty Bojangles chocolate for a lot less
by Kerri-Ann Roper · Manchester Evening NewsThere are few things as decadent as good chocolate. And if you're ever stuck for a gift, giving someone a selection of chocolates is perfect.
You'd be hard-pressed to find a sweeter deal than Wowcher's current offer of a trunk filled with truffles! And they're not just any truffles, but top-tier chocolate from Monty Bojangles. The deal is offering up nine different flavours for £29 instead of £45. For that you'll get nine, 100 gram boxes of different flavoured truffles in one trunk to give as a gift, or devour yourself.
The flavours include the classic Choccy Scoffy Cocoa Dusted Chocolate Truffles, popcorn carousel truffles, ruby fruit Sunday truffles, orange and more. And having previously tasted these, they are heaven in your mouth! Truffles can be too rich for some, but these are the perfect size, giving you just enough of a sweet hit without overwhelming your taste buds. They're melt in the mouth too, like velvet on your tongue.

Something that has always set Monty Bojangles above from their counterparts has been their beautiful packaging. Each box is a visual treat with a pop of colour that's really eye-catching. You really feel like you're opening a high quality product that's had a lot of thought and attention put into it, just from the beautiful boxes alone! What's more, as a company, their website says they've won 48 Great Taste Awards (which they say are like the Oscars for food), and they've also been honoured with the first ever King’s Award for Enterprise, International Trade 2023!. The brand was founded by Andrew Newlands and if you're wondering where the name came from, their website explains the brand is named after his "wonderful cat Monty Bojangles".

You can get these delivered straight to your door through the Wowcher deal too. A five-star review on the Waitrose website described the Choccy Scoffy flavour as "affordable luxury for all". If you're after family value, then someone else who reviewed them on Waitrose answered that writing: "My family and I love these - great for all of us, good price and quality". And someone else wrote that they are "the favourite go to snack in our house hold". A reviewer on Tesco wrote: "Oh wow, beyond good, these have moved into my number 1 position".
But they don't tickle all palates, as someone on Waitrose pointed out: "l love truffles but these are nothing special". While a Tesco reviewer decided: "The chocolate tasted way too rich and bitter. Won't buy again".
Chocolates can be a really personal taste item to buy, so looking at other options is always good too. Thorntons has a bag of their Continental Viennese Truffle at £4.50, if you wanted to spend a bit more then you can opt for a bigger box of Lindt Lindor's Assorted selection from Sainsbury's for £10. But either way, a trunk of truffles from Wowcher still sounds like a really solid deal.
