Shoppers 'desperate' to get their hands on £5.99 Christmas buy at The Range and Wilko

Shoppers are hunting for a £5.99 product at The Range and Wilko which they're 'desperate' to get their hands on for Christmas.

Facebook pages for bargain hunters have been awash with photos of the sleigh, which holds dozens of presents.

It's made from cardboard, but by all accounts is a sturdy piece of kit, and is so big - 96cm by 56cm once built - that parents are wanting it to replace the typical Santa's sack or gift bags.

Thousands of shoppers have been commenting on posts about the sleigh, saying they 'need to find one' and 'I want one of them so bad'.

Called the Make Your Own Santa Sleigh, it comes as a flatpack kit and is described as a 'fun way to display gifts' and something that 'can be used again and again'.

The Range and Wilko are both showing as 'out of stock' online, but customers can submit their email to be notified when they next become availabe.

Shoppers have also reported finding them at other stores although sizes and prices vary.

Home Bargains is selling a smaller Festive Fun Gift Sleigh for £2.99, with the retailer saying: "This charming alternative to traditional stockings is perfect for showcasing your gifts and creating a delightful centrepiece that Santa would be proud of."
