Urgent police appeal as concern grows for missing 16-year-old girl

Police have issued an urgent appeal for help to trace a missing 16-year-old girl from Trafford.

Maria is missing from the Stretford area, officers said. She was last spotted on Chester Road on Sunday (October 13).

In an appeal issued in the early hours of this morning (Thursday), Greater Manchester Police said officers are now 'becoming increasingly concerned' about the teenager.

Maria was last seen wearing cream-coloured leggings, with a black t-shirt and black handbag. She is described as having an 'olive-skinned complexion' and is around 5ft 3in tall.

She is of a small build and has black, long braided hair. Anyone who spots Maria, or who has any information on her whereabouts, should contact police.
