Arrest after tragic death of boy, two, killed in 'hit-and-run' involving 'stolen Porsche'

A man has been arrested after a two-year-old boy was killed in a 'hit-and-run' crash in Birmingham.

Four adults were injured in the crash involving a 'stolen Porsche' in Smethwick, Birmingham. A Toyota Auris and a grey Porsche Cayenne collided just before 11pm, on Saturday, December 14. A woman, aged 29, and a 30-year-old man, are in a serious condition in hospital.

West Midlands Police said a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after "acting on information" this afternoon, Monday, December 16, BirminghamLIve reports. Police continue to appeal for information.

Last night a police spokesperson said "We've this afternoon arrested a man after a two-year-old boy tragically died following a collision in Smethwick. We acted on information and detained a 30-year-old man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving in Dartmouth Road on Saturday evening (14 December).

"He is now in custody for questioning. A woman aged 29 and a 30-year-old man remain in a serious condition in hospital following the collision.
