Police called out TWICE after childcare worker, 21, is kicked out of nightclub... before staging sit-in

A childcare worker who staged a drunken 3am sit-in outside a nightclub she was barred from was told by a magistrate 'we have all been there'. Daisy Keane was arrested after being sat outside the entrance of the Venue nightclub in Widnes, Cheshire.

The 21-year-old had already been thrown out of the club for her booze-fuelled antics, Warrington Magistrates Court heard. Officers tried to speak to Keane, but she was 'dismissive' before she tried to push one of them away.

The court heard Keane had already tried to sneak into the club twice in two hours after being kicked out by bouncers. Kassem Noureddine, prosecuting, said police were called out in the early hours of July 18 and 'advised' her to 'leave the area'.

He said: “The officer was made aware that she was banned to due to previous aggressive and drunken behaviour. At 3.25am another call was made to police.

"Staff reported that Miss Keane had returned to the Venue. She attempted to re-enter the club and was pushed away by door staff.”

Mr Noureddine said that when police attended for the second time they found Keane on the floor. “Police attempted to engage with her but she was dismissive and refused to engage," he added.

"She attempted to push one of the officers who was trying to help her. Shortly afterwards she was arrested for being drunk and disorderly."

The court heard Keane, of Cherry Sutton, Widnes, had no previous convictions and 'is of good character'. Keane, who appeared without legal representation, was asked by the magistrates why she behaved like she did.

She replied: ''To be honest I don't really remember anything about so I can't really comment on that point.” When asked by the legal advisor if it was a 'one-off', she said: "Yes."

Keane admitted being drunk and disorderly and was conditionally discharged for 12 months. She was also ordered to pay £111 in costs and victim surcharge.

In sentencing, JP Paul Chadwick told Keane: “You were a lady of good character when you walked in the door of this court. Unfortunately that has gone now.

"You say it was completely out of character, that you were so drunk you could not remember but you have a responsible job to look after children. Just reflect on that, that is all I ask.

"We have all been young, we have all been drunk, we have all been there. But you were asked to leave and you returned and there was the altercation with police.''
