Alison Hammond crashes to the floor in Great British Bake Off

She first takes a spill from a kitchen worktop, landing with a thud on the floor, disappearing from view as only her feet remain visible at the end of the workstation.
Later, during 70s Week, she's seen lying on the grass after tumbling off a space-hopper, which sends co-host Noel Fielding into fits of laughter.
The episode begins with Noel setting the tone for a "very serious, sophisticated show" in anticipation of the quarter-final, insisting there will be no disco balls or lava lamps. However, the mood quickly shifts as Alison energetically bounces on an orange space-hopper, exclaiming "Yee har, ride the pony baby! " Noel, intrigued by the fun, asks for a go just before Alison's mishap occurs.
After recovering from her outdoor fall, Alison heads inside the tent where the bakers are engrossed in their technical challenge. But chaos ensues when she jokingly poses on the edge of a worktop before suddenly toppling backwards, reports the Mirror.
Georgie shouted after the fall: "She fell off." Mum-of-one Alison who, lying behind the counter in shock, said, "Don't come over here," and chuckled, "Leave me. Leave me with my shame."
Despite the tumble, Noel joins her on the floor, elated: "Oh Alison! That's the best thing I've ever seen ever."
A source from the show reassured that the presenter was unhurt, stating: "She was absolutely fine - the only thing Alison injured was her pride."
Illiyin can only utter "wow" watching their shenanigans, but Alison later attempts to figure out how she came crashing down so suddenly. Puzzled, she says, "What did I do wrong? " as she limps away with a painful expression.
Tune into Channel 4 at 8pm on Tuesday to catch the episode and discover which of the remaining five bakers secures a place in the quarter-finals, all ahead of the grand final scheduled for November 26.
