The Trump family share a close bond - but there is one member who refuses to speak to Donald

Donald Trump's family - comments about 'voluptuous' daughter to relatives who don't speak

45th President Donald J Trump's brood are a tight-knit celebrity clan and wealthy beyond most people's dreams - but who's who in the former First Family that previously lived in Capitol Hill?

by · The Mirror

With 132 rooms sprawling over 55,000-square feet, there was a joke on Capitol Hill during the 2016 US election about whether the White House would be big enough to accommodate Donald Trump’s ego.

He went on to win that election and spent the next four years running his administration from the famous 1600 Pennsylvania Ave North West address, before losing decisively to Joe Biden in 2020.

Now he's running once again, Trump - now 78 - is just hours away from knowing whether he'll be packing up his possessions from his sprawling Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida and moving back in - or watching his Democrat opponent Kamala Harris take the keys to the White House instead.

Chillingly, he told supporters at one of his final rallies of this election campaign that he "shouldn't have left" the White House in early 2021 and regretted taking part in the transfer of power to Biden.

"I shouldn’t have left. I mean, honestly, because we did so, we did so well," he said at his Lititz rally while calling Democrats "demonic" and claiming the US-Mexico border was more secure under his rule.

During his last administration, Trump surrounded himself with his five children, their partners and his grandchildren - even appointing several of his family members to senior positions, giving them unprecedented influence over the process of governing.

Trump himself has previously said: “I have a lot of good relationships. I have good enemies, too, which is okay. But I think more of my family than others.”

Trump was the first president to have been married three times and divorced twice: his first wife was Ivana Marie Trump, who was with him from 1977 until their divorce in 1990. Ivana died in 2022 after falling down the stairs in her New York apartment and is buried under Trump's golf course in New Jersey.

Trump's second wife was Marla Marples, who he married in 1993 and divorced in 1999. He is currently married to Melania Trump, a former Playboy model who was only the second foreign-born First Lady.

The youngest child from Trump’s marriage to Ivana, Eric broke family tradition when he attended Georgetown instead the University of Pennsylvania like his father, brother and sister.

He joined the Trump Organisation in 2006 – assuming responsibility for expanding his father’s company’s real estate portfolio. He also established the Eric Trump Foundation in 2006, which fundraises for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

But the foundation was dogged by controversy after tax records showed significant amounts of funds raised went towards the costs of hosting fundraising events at Trump Organisation golf venues.

The now 40-year-old was also a task adviser and boardroom judge on the US version of The Apprentice, which his dad used to host. He and wife Lara, the current co-chair of the Republican National Committee, are estimated to be worth around £270million.

Eric and Lara married in November 2014 at Trump's sprawling Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida. They share two children together.

Journalist Lara first met Eric Trump in New York - and had no idea he was the heir to a property empire. They married seven years later and she gave birth to their first child in 2017 and their second in 2019.

The 45th President of the United States of America, AKA leader of the free world, is hoping to have a fresh stab at the White House after being defeated in 2020 by Joe Biden.

His first term from 2016 to 2020 was marked by the Covid pandemic - which killed more than 1.2 million Americans - as well as his attempt to ban Muslims from entering the US and 'The Wall', a vast structure shoring up the border between the US and Mexico.

Infamously said he could "grab [women] by the p***y" and that, as a famous man, "you can do anything [to them]". He's also now a convicted felon, having been indicted on all 34 charges in a scheme run through his former lawyer to illegally influence the 2016 election through a hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels.

Trump is also still facing legal action for his alleged involvement in inciting supporters to storm the Capital on January 6 2021 in an attempt to subvert the last election result.

The youngest of Donald's five children, Barron was described by his mum Melania as her "little Donald".

He was thrust into the media spotlight during his father’s first presidential campaign, and famously struggled to keep his eyes open during his dad’s victory speech on election night.

Last time round, he initially stayed in New York to finish school, but became the first young son to move into the White House since JFK Jr. lived there in the early 1960s.

He graduated high school earlier this year and has now begun his first year at New York University.

Like his father, Barron likes to play golf and builds cities and airports - although using Lego. Best known for wearing teeny versions of his dad's suits, complete with little ties.

Brought up in Slovenia, Donald Trump’s third wife was the first foreign-born US First Lady in two centuries - England’s Louisa Adams was the last from 1825-1829.

She was born to a Communist father and speaks five languages - Slovenian, French, English, Serbian and German. Met Donald in 1998 and married him in 2005, becoming his third wife after Ivana Trump and Marla Maples.

The former model raised eyebrows with her many naked photoshoots. She once posed nude for GQ and was famously ridiculed after her first major speech was found to have been plagiarised from Michelle Obama.

Her first term as First Lady was marked by her decision to wear a jacket emblazoned with the words, "I really don't care, do you?" during a trip to a migrant child detention centre in 2018.

With her cousin Barron just one year older than her, Kai is one of the youngest of the Trump Tribe. The daughter of Don Jr. and Vanessa, Kai is a keen golfer, just like her grandad, and was recently accepted to the University of Miami.

One of 10 grandchildren, the third Donald to carry the President’s name knew how to rock a tiny suit - he was just eight at the start of Trump's 2016 presidency.

Often seen stood smugly by his father’s side, big game hunter Donald Jr, 46, is one of Trump’s three children to his first wife Ivana.

He is a businessman who worked alongside his siblings at the Trump Organization. Don made a series of appearances in his dad's reality show, The Apprentice, and married model Vanessa in 2005 before their divorce in 2018.

He's father to their five children; Kai, Chloe, Donald III, Tristan and Spencer.

In 2017, Don found himself in hot water after admitted meeting a Russian lawyer to get dirt on his father's 2016 rival Hillary Clinton, thrusting the White House deep into another Russia-related scandal.

During the 2016 election campaign, Don drew criticism when he tweeted a picture comparing Syrian refugees to poisoned Skittles suggesting America should not accept any.

Ivanka Trump, 43

Businesswoman whose joint net worth with husband Jared Kushner is thought to be around £615million, Ivanka is the founder of her own jewellery and fashion line and works in the Trump family business. She's also mother to Arabella, Joseph and Theodore, and has been married to their father Jared since 2009.

Undoubtedly the most measured of the Trump family, the 43-year-old’s decision to move to Washington gave her a head-start when she was given the role of senior advisor in Trump's first term.

As the darling child of the former president, she was placed in a difficult position by her father after positioning herself as an advocate for women’s rights. She was reported to have often been forced to speak with her father about his attitude which had become mired in accusations of misogyny.

She was also the subject of some spectacularly bizarre comments made by her father over the years, including that he would date her if she wasn't his daughter. In an interview with shock jock Howard Stern, he also indicated he was fine with Ivanka being called "a piece of ass".

And while watching his then-16-year-old daughter host the 1997 Miss Teen USA pageant, Trump was noted as saying: “Don’t you think my daughter’s hot? She’s hot, right?”

Jared Kushner, 43

The baby-faced husband of Ivanka - and father to their three children - had a meteoric rise to become one of the most powerful men in government with a starring role in his father-in-law’s first term in the White House.

Property developer Jared also owned the New York Observer, a newspaper that came out stronger for his father-in-law. The Jewish Orthodox grandson of Holocaust survivors, he is considered a calming influence on Trump.

Both he and his father-in-law inherited vast property empires from their fathers at a relatively young age, and their apparent bond may be based in part at least on similar experiences.

Discreet and unflinchingly loyal, Kushner nonetheless ran into legal trouble over a $2 billion investment his private equity firm received from Saudi Arabia.

He also ran up against Swifties when his billionaire brother Joshua married supermodel Karlie Kloss - Taylor Swift's one-time best friend - in 2018. Kloss was later spotted appearing on Taylor's enemy Scooter Braun's Instagram.

Tiffany Trump, 31

Despite his eldest children’s regular appearances on the election campaign, Tiffany has largely shunned the spotlight.

The 31-year-old is Trump's only daughter from his second marriage to Marla Maples and reportedly named after Tiffany & Co. the jewellery store next door to Trump Tower.

She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and was brought up in California. Tiffany is the youngest of Trump's daughters and has dabbled in modelling, fashion (with an internship at Vogue), music (she released a song called Like A Bird at the age of 17. It wasn't great) and social media influencing.

Tiffany met husband Michael Boulos in 2018 while on holiday with Lindsay Lohan in Greece. The pair got married at Mar-a-Lago in 2022 and in October 2024 announced she was expecting their first child.

She was the only adult child not to be named in the transition team in Trump's first stint in the White House.

Mary Trump, 59

Mary is the estranged niece of Donald Trump, born to his older brother Fred Trump Jr, and a savage critic of her uncle's ethos.

"For my whole life I have witnessed my uncle's narcissism and cruelty," she said in a statement released by the Biden campaign earlier this year. "His sense of inferiority has always driven his jealousy and his pathological need to dominate others and this is information that is crucially important for the American people to have in advance of the most important election of our lifetimes."

Mary has previously written two books criticising the Trump empire and provided financial records to the New York Times in 2018 to shed light on The Don's dealings. Trump sued her over it, but a judge later dismissed the case.
