Moment man stabbed on busy street during terrifying gang attack in broad daylight
The victim was forced to the ground and stabbed before being rushed to hospital - West Midlands Police has opened an investigation into the attack and are searching for the knifeman

The man was knife in the attack by three men in Birmingham's Sparkhill neighbourhood at about 1pm yesterday. In the clip, the victim could be seen brawling with a man right in the middle of a road as cars swerved to avoid them. Seconds later, two men sprinted out into the road with one pulling out a large blade from his waistband.
The brawl then continued out of view of a camera and the victim was forced to the ground and stabbed. A clip of the shocking attack - which the Mirror has chosen not to use - was shared on social media on Thursday evening. Following the attack, the victim was rushed to hospitals and his injuries were later believed to not be life-threatening. No arrests have been made.
West Midlands Police are now investigating how the attack escalated and are searching for the knifeman. A spokesperson for the force told The Sun: "We're investigating after a man was stabbed in Percy Road, Springfield, at just after 1pm yesterday. A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening. We're reviewing CCTV and carrying out other enquiries to establish who was involved."

The West Midlands reported the highest number of offences with 180 incidents per 100,000 people. london came second with 165 per 100,000 people.
