Horror triple murder sees man, 42, arrested, while mum, dad, and son, 14, are dead

A 42-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of carrying out the heinous triple murder of his mum, dad, and 14-year-old son before leaving their bodies to be discovered by police. The tragic incident unfolded early Friday morning at the family home, where officers made a grim and shocking discovery.

Law enforcement arrived at the scene around 9 am and soon found three individuals with gunshot wounds. Following the grim discovery, they were able to quickly apprehend Junior Thomas Babcock nearby, after he had walked away from the Georgia home, and charged him with the triple murder.

Despite an active investigation into what took place on Friday morning, US police have indicated they aren't expecting to arrest anyone else in relation to this case. A relative of one of the slain family members told reporters that Babcock had been living at the address where the three had been killed.

Babcock was first taken to a hospital after his arrest, but was later transferred into custody. The local police, in a statement made on social media site X added: "The Chatham County Police Department will not have any further comment on this investigation."

However, while Babcock was taken into custody pending a bail hearing, a nephew of one of the victims has said: "We just really want answers."

Speaking to local TV station WTOC, Redgie Oglesby, the nephew of the two older victims Connie and Daniel Babcock, said: “You couldn’t meet a better woman; you couldn’t meet a better woman. Connie Babcock deserves.. I know where she’s at, she’s in heaven and Daniel Babcock the same way.

“We’ve lost two special people and not counting little junior, the son. I mean he was doing so good. We just really want answers."

Mr Oglesby claimed the man suspected of carrying out the murder of his mother, father, and son, had been adopted into the family at a young age.

He told reporters: “They have a large family, a large family. They adopted Junior Thomas and Micheal into the family when they were babies and grew them up all the way up.”
