Friends and family have vowed to search every day until missing mum Victoria Taylor is found.

The 34-year-old, who has a two-year-old daughter, vanished a week ago last Monday. She was last seen on CCTV walking near a children's play area alongside the River Derwent. Underwater search teams are currently using sonar in a bid to find her as police say there is a "significant possibility" she has gone into the water.

So far they have only discovered old shopping trollies and corrugated roof sheets. After she went missing, her belongings, including a baseball cap and rucksack were found "scattered" near the river bank, in a clearing.

A Facebook page was set up by family friends to help search for Victoria. Relatives of the elderly she cared for in her role as a geriatric nurse, described her as "one very special lady".

"We always know our loved ones were safe in her care, which is priceless," one said. "She not only cares for them, she cares for families too. One very special lady."

Another told how "Vixx" from Malton in North Yorkshire, helped her grandfather who had Parkinson's disease. "You dedicate so much of your heart to these elderly people." Charlotte Cundill, who runs the Facebook page, said: "We will not give up until we find you."
