How to watch Liverpool vs Leverkusen for free despite Champions League game not on TV
Ex-Liverpool star Xabi Alonso will return to Anfield on Tuesday night as Arne Slot's side will be hoping to continue their scintillating form when they host Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League
by Chris Burns · The MirrorLiverpool will be aiming to make it four wins out four in the Champions League when they welcome Bayer Leverkusen to Anfield tonight (Tuesday).
The game will see Leverkusen manager and former Liverpool hero Xabi Alonso return to Anfield after a period where it looked like the Spaniard could have headed back to Anfield as the Reds' next manager following the departure of Jurgen Klopp. However, Alonso decided to carry on his work in Germany and Liverpool opted for Dutchman Arne Slot – and they have not looked back since.
Sitting top of the Premier League, two points clear of second-place Manchester City, and lying in second in the new-look Champions League table, Slot has begun life at Liverpool in fast fashion. Leverkusen, on the other hand, are currently sixth in the Champions League table with two wins and a draw so far.
The German outfit got their Champions League campaign off to a thumping start when they thrashed Slot's previous side Feyenoord 4-0. They have since followed that result up with a 1-0 home win against AC Milan and a 1-1 draw away to French side Brest.
Liverpool head into the Leverkusen clash in scorching form. Convincing wins against AC Milan, Bologna and RB Leipzig have reassured the Anfield faithful that they could launch a real assault on the European Cup this season as they bid to win the competition for a seventh time. With the game not on the usual broadcaster of Champions League games in the UK, TNT Sports, Mirror Football takes a look at how you can watch all the action.
Why is the game not on TNT Sports?
The game has been selected as one of Amazon Prime's 17 Champions League matches that they will be showing this season. This means the game will not be shown on TNT.
Gabby Logan will be pitchside and joined by Clarence Seedorf, Frank Lampard and former Liverpool ace and team-mate of Alonso, Luis Garcia. Jon Champion and Alan Shearer will provide commentary for the clash.
