As the desperate search entered its sixth day, Victoria’s family took to social media to confirm nine important facts about her disappearance and the ongoing search to find her. In the public Facebook group called ‘The search for Victoria Taylor’, Laura Moran, explained she had been asked by the family to share the following nine facts, as she said: “We all want the same thing here, to find Vixx and get her home!”

  • “Vixx was wearing a black adidas puffa jacket with stripes down the sides not sleeves. The information was given at a time of distress,” Laura explained. “Let's not be picky. The cap and bag was retrieved with the pop bottles that were hers and her phone. She left her HOME address."
  • “The CCTV footage is her. This has come from family and close friends that know her. The coat is black not blue. It's pixelated from being taken from a screen,” Laura said.
  • Laura wrote: “She has NOT got on a train or bus. The CCTV has been reviewed and continues to be reviewed extensively.”
  • “We have to appreciate that the river has swollen due to the weather,” Laura explained. “It’s not a case of just sending a police officer in the water, it's specialised. They will continue to search the river over the weekend.”
  • She added: “The drones have been used time and time again by the police, yes they are heat seeking and the specialist police team explained how it works. Again your local bobby isn't going to know.”
  • Laura said: “The media, we appreciate the help but the family are trying to support each other and keep it together for the children. Please don't be knocking on the doors of family for a story.”
  • She continued: “If there is any information, it will come from the family through the police.”
  • “Speculation does not help anyone and if it seems an obvious question then the family have already thought it and the family has thought it over and over,” Laura said.
  • She signed the post off with: “Remember BE KIND.”
